Protecting and keeping your little ones healthy is the most important thing to any parent. You can use essential oils as a natural way to support your baby or child’s health however, it’s important to note that not all oils are made equal. Avoid buying store bought oils that are not therapeutic-grade. Fortunately doTERRA essential oils make it easy and simple to support your baby or child’s health because they are the purest therapeutic grade oils on the planet.

4 simple ways to use essential oils for babies and kids
If your little one has an upset tummy, Lavender and Wild Orange will work a treat to soothe them. Simply dilute 1 drop each of Lavender and Wild Orange in 2 Tablespoons of carrier oil. Rub on the stomach in a clockwise direction for around 30 seconds. If they continue to feel upset, continue applying every 30 minutes until settled.
Diffusing Lavender or Roman Chamomile is a wonderful way to support calmness in the evening if your child is restless. You can also support them to sleep better by adding a drop of Lavender to their pillow or to the bottom of their feet.
Whether it’s nappy rash or irritated skin, you can use Lavender and Frankincense to soothe your child’s skin. Simply dilute 1 drop each of Lavender and Frankincense in fractionated coconut oil to soothe the skin.
If your child has a few sniffles, essential oils can support them to breath easier. Dilute Easy & Air and Frankincense and apply to their feet, chest and back 4 - 5 times a day or every 2 - 4 hours hour as needed.. Diffusing Frankincense, Easy Air or Lavender can also support air quality.
Remember to always store your oils away from little hands who might be curious as to what they are! Your kids are bound to love oils as they grow older and they’re really a wonderful way to support the whole family to be healthy and happy naturally.
